These are the typical comments when we first discuss Keystone Insurers Group with potential candidates. And this is exactly what we like to hear! We are interested in agencies that are doing well on their own, that are established and respected in the industry, that have or want internal perpetuation, that are fiercely independent and don’t want to sell to a financial institution, and that utilize better business practices.
Keystone Insurers Group doesn’t own your agency or tell you how to run it. You don’t surrender your identity; however, it is enhanced. Your independence isn’t threatened; if anything, it is increased by the shear magnitude of the carrier relationships. Keystone is about preserving and strengthening the Independent Agency System.
We do not utilize central processing since we think it’s vitally important that agencies maintain their strong ties to carrier underwriters, loss control, claims representatives and the like. Our research has indicated that central processing is useful for a start-up operation or when the model is simply standalone producers. Keystone Insurers Group entertains neither of these models.
