I was strongly opposed to our joining KIG 2003. Even though I had worked with Colin Buzzard at The Aetna, my experience with consolidators both as a Filed Underwriter and NC/SC Field Manager with Selective was terrible. Inevitably these organizations were bringing together agencies that could not sell or, due to integrity issues, maintain relationships with quality carriers.

I came into the fold kicking and screaming. I expected it to bust and be over in a year. I was wrong. It has been the best decision my now partners have made in the 11 years I’ve been part of Mountcastle Insurance.

Here is my very short list of the KIG difference and the things of which we’ve taken advantage:
